SIR – I’m looking to stand as an MP in Redditch for the UKIP party. We pushed for a referendum and succeeded in getting the vote. There has never been a better time to vote for Ukip, the party that cares. I have lived in Redditch for 49 years and watched in disgust the decline of our town. My main target is the Alexandra Hospital.
I’m disgusted at the betrayal of the Redditch people, closing the maternity and trying to down grade the A&E to minor injuries. Redditch and the area our hospital serves is growing and we cannot be without a fully functioning hospital.
The residents are in agreement that the current MP needs to do more for the Redditch people and in particular the Alexandra Hospital. We feel betrayed by the current government and our MP. We deserve much, much more in Redditch. We have lost our trade, lost our industry and now our hospital.
