SIR - Our MPs pretend that they can influence and decide what laws govern us. This is a farce.

Between May 1 and 26, the EU passed 104 new laws which affect us and our MPs cannot change a single letter of them.

You may think these must be very important laws. They are not.

An example of one just agreed is how you can market eggs.

This is daft. Why does it matter how we, the Romanians, the Maltese and all the other nationalities in the EU market eggs? Why not leave it to us to decide.

The EU is becoming an octopus that reaches everywhere.
