SIR - In response to Kay Wilson's letter (May 25), how true the words she wrote about the way pensioners are being treated.

I certainly don't feel safe or happy anymore. I'm not the only one.

I agree that the iron gates needed at Langdale makes them prisoners in their homes.

We, too, at Brook House have been warned to keep our doors locked day and night.

Well, we certainly didn't have this trouble when our wardens were with us.

We were safe and happy too. But not any more - locked in day and night. What next? We are afraid to go anywhere.

So, come on Worcester Community Housing - think again and give all of us OAPs back our safety. We can't help being old.

MRS T BROOKTHORPE, Warndon, Worcester.
