SIR - I have just read your review of the Bell at Eckington. Having visited the Bell on a weekly basis since it re-opened, I am yet to be disappointed with either the level of service or the quality of the food served.
In fact, on every visit I have been greeted with the warmest of welcomes and the staff going out of their way to ensure that my visit is a thoroughly enjoyable experience.
The food has always been nothing short of delightful, which leads me to draw only one conclusion - either the reviewer was in the wrong place (maybe another local eatery) or more likely doesn't know what they are talking about.
It may be a good idea to send another reporter to review the Bell, someone who either doesn't get lost or knows a thing or two about food.
