SIR - In reply to Mike Foster's complaint about the new council logo costing £24,000 (Letters, May 21) and his comment that the waste of money drives him up the wall.
Well, what really drives me up the wall is that, thanks to his Government, our children are now worth £840 each per year less than a child in Birmingham, in terms of school funding. This is compared with £260 less each per year way back in 1997. That's a whopping £420,000 less (instead of £130,000) every year for an average-sized Worcestershire high school, compared with one the same size up the road.
It makes the £24,000 on a new logo look like peanuts, doesn't it, Mike?
