SIR - In reply to Pyers Symon's letter (May 23) about Mike Foster's reasons for supporting an exemption for MPs from freedom of information laws, should he look at Mr Foster's voting record he would find that hardly ever has our MP voted against his Government.
Be it on lowering the age of consent for homosexual acts between adults, cuts in previously acceptable post office services for the elderly, reductions in residential care home placements, the continuing cuts in Supporting People grants which took away the on-site wardens from sheltered housing schemes - in fact almost anything, if not everything, his Government has proposed.
Brian Hunt, Worcester.
