SIR - Taxi drivers from Malvern complain they are being driven out of business by people from Worcester who are over-charging their customers.

I thought all taxis had to have a meter which is set by Trading Standards. So I cannot see how they can be over-charged.

Unless, as the one driver says, people are driven all round the Wrekin.

But surely the passenger would know if he's being driven to Shropshire. I hardly think this would happen.

So I say to the taxi drivers in Malvern, "a little competition keeps everyone on their toes".
