SIR - I am writing in support of John Buckley's comments about the pupil admission system and placement of difficult, vulnerable children at Elgar and Christopher Whitehead schools (Letters, May 1).
I work at one of the schools and am constantly amazed that in this day and age of advanced technology and the need to satisfy the every child matters' agenda, difficult and vulnerable children are arriving at these schools with little or no information about them or their background.
This signifies a total lack of understanding as to pupils' needs and welfare and the strain this puts on pupils, their families and receiving schools is completely unnecessary.
The process needs scrutinising as does the lack of funding and overview.
Keep up the good work John!
K Williams, Worcester.
