SIR - Every town nearby has one, but Worcester, four times bigger than any of them, has no pubic toilets open in the evening.

The bus station toilets close for cleaning and one needs a train ticket at the railway station. This is an absolute disgrace and the city council should be ashamed.

Closing public conveniences exacerbates the pervert and drug problems and this excuse is offensive to law-abiding citizens who could be arrested for indecent behaviour if caught short in the street.

Using public house and restaurant facilities without purchasing goods is wrong and those proprietors should welcome public demands to the council to redress the situation.
