SIR - May I, through the letters page, express my gratitude to those who came to my assistance on Easter Monday morning.
Firstly, the rapid response paramedic for his calm assessment of the situation. Secondly, to the two-lady paramedic ambulance crew who, arriving a few moments later, swiftly conveyed me to the Worcestershire Royal Hospital. Thirdly, to the emergency department medical team, whose skilful and persistent efforts ensured my survival. And fourthly, to the nurses, doctors and consultants of the coronary unit (Laurel 1) for their care over the following few days.
My wife, daughters and I cannot speak too highly of each and every one of the above individuals - real, caring and compassionate people.
DAVID TURNER, Worcester.
