SIR - I was encouraged to read recently that the Countryside Alliance has launched a campaign against fly-tipping - it is good to see the issue highlighted.
This has been a problem in Worcestershire for some time and I have recently been in touch with Wyre Forest District Council about asphalt and rubbish that was fly-tipped in Cakebole Lane, Rushock.
The stress and expense that fly-tipping causes ordinary members of the public, as well as local authorities, is nothing compared to the total selfishness of those who fly-tip.
When will people realise that when they do this they are ruining our environment, making the county look like a scrap heap and potentially harming livestock and people?
Well done Countryside Alliance for making a noise about this!
Laurence McCurrich, Rushock.
