SIR - When walking along the Meco alleyway and along the brook from Penhill Crescent, as I so often do, I noticed the brook was all choked up with debris - a nasty ghastly sight.
It has been like it for weeks because I walk that way regularly hoping to see the ducks - but there was not one to be seen.
It really is alarming to see what is thrown in the brook - everything one can mention.
I cannot understand the mentality of people who go throwing litter anywhere with no consideration whatsoever for our wildlife. When will they ever learn?
