SIR - I find it interesting to say the least that Worcestershire County Council is spending large sums of public money on encouraging children to walk and cycle to school.
In another breath it is also still trying to remove Christopher Whitehead Languages College from St John's, where some 75 per cent of students walk to school now, and sell out to Tesco.
This would have a detrimental effect on the health of these students.
It is also strange because it is the policy of the council and the Government that children should walk to school.
Some logic that.
