SIR - Walking along Pershore High Street, I feel quite naked without a mobile phone pressed to my ear.

Why does everyone use one walking along in public - are they not embarrassed?

I have it on quite good authority that newborn babies now have a miniature one clasped firmly in their delicate little hands, on arrival into this mad world of ours! Love me - love my phone!

This morning I saw a motorist - a businessman dressed in a suit and tie - driving in a busy line of traffic. He had no seat belt on and was talking away on his mobile phone. Not surprisingly, he drove straight across a pelican crossing on red.

I think they should ban the use of mobile phones when driving - they are positively dangerous... And don't tell me they have, because the message just ain't getting through, chaps!
