SIR - George Cowley (Letters, March 27) suggests we get the diggers out and divert the Severn back to Wales.
I agree with George that we should get the diggers out, but we should build a barrage across the Severn estuary.
With the very fast tide, I am told we could gain enough power to equal three coal-powered generating centres and it would be green.
With everyone wanting to go green, we could have electricity for years - and creating no carbon.
