SIR - I recently heard the Food Programme on Radio Four talking about Celtic Football Club and the way it has taken a very progressive decision to change its catering for children.
It's food is now far healthier, much of it sourced locally and, where possible, organic.
The scheme has been a great success and has lessons that can be learned. The example set by such a popular club has appealed to the children in a way that many of our well intentioned attempts has not.
Herefordshire has some of the finest foods on its doorstep. Our schools are moving in the right direction, especially Minster College, which has sports college status. Can we appeal to Hereford Football Club and other sporting venues to follow Celtic's lead and do for England what Celtic is doing for Scotland?
