SIR - So Simon Geraghty wants to use private finance initiative (PFI) money to maintain our roads (Worcester News, February 16). He must be spending too much time chatting to his Old Tory/New Labour comrade Mike Foster.
PFI is a thoroughly discredited political confidence trick. It's quite possible that rich men's wallets will be filled with our money while the holes in our roads won't get filled at all.
Just ask those who struggle to finance our local health service now they are saddled with the crippling cost of New Labour's wonderful PFI-financed hospital.
As for our roads, Simon Geraghty would find it more economical to fill the potholes with £10 notes.
