Sir - Comments and controversy about potential extra river crossings for Worcester continue to rumble on and get reported in your columns.
What is needed is clarity of thought (and money). Basically two crossings are required. The leader of the Council has put the money question squarely on the desk of Dave ("Money no Object") Cameron in regard to the potential inner city Newport-Tybridge Streets bridge. This would serve, amongst other things, to ease traffic congestion in the city.
The second. also-needed, North West "ring road" river crossing would bring other benefits to Worcester mainly by taking traffic round the city & easing congestion in it.
Nevill SWANSON,
Worcester
