Sir, Like Arthur Scargill, Bob Crow was a larger than life character, loved by many (increasing the membership of his union by 20,000), and loathed by many. Whichever view you take of the man, one truth remains, which is that unlike our treacherous and duplicitous MPs and government Ministers, he listened to, and acted on behalf of those who elected him to his leadership role, and he retained his position because of that. Bob Crow had principles, and he stood by them in the face of much media antagonism, and employer resentment. I'm not suggesting he was always right, only that he was a man of principle.

Learning today of yet another confirmation of the treachery of our mainstream politicians, Ed Miliband confirmed that Labour has no intention of giving the British people a referendum on the EU experiment, and Britain's relationship with it. Cameron has promised one, but only if his party is re-elected, and as usual, the Lib Dems remain totally committed to the undemocratic EU farce. What all of the mainstream political leaders do share however, is a contempt for those they are supposed to represent...that'll be you and me.

Unlike the late Bob Crow, none of these politicians have any intention of listening to the people who elected them, or who have yet to elect them. More than that though, they have conspired to actively deny any of us a say in our own futures, the future of our communities, and the direction of our country. Ask yourself, do we live in a democracy? Vote UKIP, be heard...not herded.
