Sir - Here we go yet again, property developer St. Modwen has applied for permission to build a new bridge over the A4440 along with their bid to build 255 new homes. They also offer the usual employment land that will probably encourage very few businessess?
Are these the inducements that are supposed to have us all welcoming a development of mainly luxury homes? Semi-detached and detached with three, four and five bedrooms are mentioned. These are not going to help ease the housing crisis for those on minimum wage or clear the streets of rough sleepers.
Like many cities Worcester perhaps does need more housing. But it should be affordable one and two bedroom accommodations built on "Brownfield" sites.
