Following the news that some degree of sanity had been restored to the issuing of taxi licences in Worcester City, it still leaves questions outstanding.
The most emotional issue still outstanding is putting right the hurt and upset many of its most vulnerable citizens were subjected to when the uncaring Conservative administration arbitrarily confiscated parking spaces belonging to the disabled and gave them to the taxi community to loiter in for hours. This madness simply supported the over-selling of taxi licences and is typical of an uncaring Conservative council.
Worcester City elections for 12 wards are being held in May, and I hope that Worcester electors will remember the heartless cruelty of the Conservatives towards the old and disabled.
The calculating politicians of the current Labour administration don't see enough votes in it to restore the disabled parking spaces that were confiscated.
The Lib/Dem policy is almost irrelevant on this issue, as few will believe them anyway.
Finally, I am assured that restoring the disabled parking is high on the agenda of the UKIP candidates for the council, and electors should consider carefully where they give their vote in May.
