SIR – It is interesting to note that no real disagreement exists between the Lib/Lab/ Con trio of parties in Parliament over the need for the UK to be covered in wind turbines. Could this be connected to the fact that the three leaders have wives who are closely allied to the wind farm industry.
Mrs Miliband is a leading barrister who argues on behalf of her windfarm clients that their developments are needed, Mrs Clegg is a director of a major manufacturer of wind turbines and Mrs Cameron’s father earns tens of thousands of pounds from the wind turbines on his land.
UKIP looks at the need for wind farms dispassionately, based on the evidence.
