SIR – I was intrigued by Gary Dipper’s overcrowding figures.
After a quick Wiki search it turns out that Britain has an area of approximately 243,610 square kilometres.
If Mr Dipper’s figures were correct, this would give us population of just over 100 million.
That’s a little more than the 63 to 64 million people who actually live here.
