SIR – I’m writing to you as I read your story (Worcester News, December 30) struggling not to laugh at the seemingly ‘usual’ service given by BT. You say angry BT customers are demanding answers after being without the internet for two weeks, and I am afraid I am not surprised, when the company sloppily includes incorrect information in its latest BT Infinity TV advert.
An offer is being promoted by BT for their Infinity fibre broadband service at ££7.50 a month for the first six months with the offer ending on 13.03.13. Can you see the error? It may be in the small print on the TV advert, but nevertheless it’s there and would make subscribing to the offer very difficult unless you had a time machine!
I can totally sympathise with the customers featured in your article, but I’m afraid I’m not surprised.
It may not a massive error, but if BT can get such a basic thing like the date wrong, it’s no wonder the more important problem of no internet can occur as well.
