SIR - On the weekend of December 10, the four Rotary clubs of Worcester collected food items outside three supermarkets and from many houses in the city.
These were sorted and 724 Christmas parcels made up and distributed to needy people in the area.
This mammoth operation was only made possible with lots of help from the people and businesses of Worcester, whose generosity was once again really amazing.
The success of the scheme is dependent on the support of local people, as without this it would not be possible to make up and distribute so many parcels.
So, on behalf of the Rotarians, I would like to give grateful thanks to all who helped us brighten up Christmas for the recipients.
Paul Chudley, Project co-ordinator, Worcester.
