SIR - Would you please pass on our most sincere thanks to everyone who contributed to, or supported in any way, the late night shopping evening for the elderly and disabled held last month.
We would like to extend our special thanks to the following organisations: West Mercia police; British Red Cross; the local Rotary clubs; Worcester city and county councils; the Crowngate centre; to both the Salvation Army and Concert Brass Bands; St John Ambulance; Clarke Roxburgh; Worcester Rugby Club; King's School, the city centre shops that provided refreshments; DG Pharmacies and to Worcester Shopmobility.
I hope I haven't forgotten anyone - if so please accept my sincere apologies and my thanks.
Also a huge thank you to all the volunteers who drove, escorted, pushed wheelchairs and generally helped to ensure that many elderly and disabled people were able to go shopping and see the Christmas lights.
Once again a huge thank you to everyone who helped to make the evening a great success.
SALLY ELLISON, Worcester Volunteer Centre.
