SIR – Are MPs so out of touch that they could accept a £10,000 pay rise a year in the current climate?

Most workers don’t have the luxury of an independent review body.

If we did, it would result in lots of pay increases.

Who do these people think they are?

Every day we hear the opposition disagree with the Government, and visa-versa, but they were in total agreement with each other over this pay rise.

If any MP had any feeling of the people that put them there they would decline a pay rise or have one more in line with the rest.
