SIR – The beautiful Worcestershire countryside is to disappear under the onslaught of the relentless building of high density nondescript houses, making increasingly busy roads.
The district council’s desire to build up to the city boundary adds to the mass sprawl.
The rural towns will also be joined up with the surrounding villages and green fields in between will disappear.
Is this to be Worcestershire’s utopia, to be a suburb of Birmingham, if we are not already, at the cost of our identity and our countryside?
Now we are told that the South Worcestershire Development Plan (SWDP) falls short and even more housing is needed to be built.
