SIR - In reply to Eldin Rammell (Letters, December 4), should this person have any knowledge of the traffic flow of the roads around the cathedral war memorial, they would know that emergency services with basic planning can still travel to any part of this city without using these sections of roads.
To hold the traffic in this area for two minutes would cause no unsolvable safety issues at all.
The traffic of course is held to allow our civic dignitaries across Deansway.
The words "intolerant" and "disrespectful" used in her comments are indeed a true description, but not of those who show respect either in public or private for the three million plus brave men and women who were killed, reported missing or injured during the First World War, instead they perhaps describe her comments.
We regularly see pictures from across the UK of whole shopping centres stopping in respect for two minutes' silence, but obviously not this person, who demands the right to drive during these two minutes.
Brian Hunt, Worcester.
