SIR – David Cameron said Ed Milliband’s suggestion to freeze energy prices was a con and he suggested to change suppliers.
What’s the point of this?
The energy companies appear to be running a cartel when one puts the prices up the others will follow.
British Gas put their price up by eight per cent and my pension only went up by one per cent, because of the cap the Tories put on and we certainly won’t get any help from Ofgen.
It appears they must be working for the energy companies.
If the Government can freeze wages surely they should freeze prices as well!
It makes you wonder how much money do the energy companies give to the Tory party, because the Tories must know that big increases like this are way above inflation, and we get no action at all.
So I think Ed Milliband is right to freeze prices until the energy companies are sorted out.
