SIR – Councillor Neil Laurenson needs to take a reality pill.
He constantly moans about his ability to find work, yet freely admits that he received a job offer and had more than 2.5 hours to respond, but calls that too short notice to react!
What I would say is that if someone is unemployed and genuinely looking for work, any work, then 2.5 hours is plenty of time, it is enough time to run a marathon!
I would suggest he stops moaning and wasting time writing moaning letters, rather he apply for the job he’s offered and save the taxpayer some money – isn’t Green the colour for go!
