SIR – Families struggling with rises in energy prices will be flabbergasted to hear that British gas boss Sam Laidlaw is so awash with cash he uses double what families use to heat homes each year – to heat his swimming pool!
He even apparently wants a second pool.
Is it any wonder David Cameron simply shrugs his shoulders and says “change energy suppliers” or “put on a jumper”! They are both old pompous Etonians who live on totally separate planets to most ordinary folk. They have no idea and simply do not care whether people can heat their homes each year.
