SIR – Thanks to Yvonne Carter for reiterating my thoughts on underuse of gel at Worcestershire Royal Hospital.
Its importance seemed more recognised at Hastings when I visited my brother recently.
Naturally no member of the staff was detailed as overseer, but dispensers were well portrayed at the ward entrance and each bed had one attached to the footrail and a notice prominently displayed above each patient asking staff and visitors to use before any contact with the occupier.
