SIR – Re: butcher’s beef with traffic warden (Worcester News, October 2).
Why is it the traffic warden will order a customer off the loading bay outside M&M Meats? There is never a traffic warden when taxis are on yellow lines round there, or mounting the pavement, yet they come out for ordinary drivers stopping a few minutes to pick some meat up.
The father and son and everyone who works at M&M Meats are lovely people – always polite and helpful.
They probably, like a lot of people in Worcester, are fed up with nowhere for customers to park. Get rid of some taxis then we will have more room to move.
There are too many in Worcester anyway.
This father and son should never have been taken to court. St Swithun’s Street is a nightmare, even to walk down or cross.
