SIR – In reply to: New approach to tackle problem of bird population in the city, on a recent trip to the river Severn in Worcester I was robbed by a seagull.
We had just sat down on the bench to tuck into our ice cream while enjoying the sunshine.
Out of nowhere came this pesky seagull and stole my ice cream. He took the whole thing and ate it in one.
Others by the riverside saw the funny side of things but I felt wronged. You see this type of activity going on all the time now, and yes, as Councillor Roger Knight suggests “the onus is on people to stop littering” but these birds are nothing more than scavengers.
Let’s get them dealt with and move on.
