SIR – Like James Blandford (Worcester News, September 26), I also have similar concerns about the sequence of the traffic lights at the junction of St John’s with Bransford Road and Malvern Road.
Approaching along Malvern road towards St John’s and wanting to turn right into Swanpool Walk is not easy because the volume of traffic travelling along St John’s into Malvern Road does not give sufficient time or space to turn right before the lights return to “red”.
On most occasions the sequence of lights only permits one car to turn right towards Sainsbury’s before changing again.
A short time filter would at least allow more cars to turn right.
Councillor Prodger has raised my concerns with the appropriate county council officer, Tom Comerford, and I await his observations.
