SIR - I was stationed in the canal zone of Egypt during the troubles in the 1950s and since my retirement I have organised a return trip every September.
Our group will again visit Cairo, Fayid, Ismailia, Moascar, Tel-el-Kebir, staying at a hotel overlooking the Great Bitter Lakes next year.
Many of the service people from the 1950s came from Worcestershire and if any of your readers would like details on joining our visit next year would they please write to me.
These visits take many months to organise, with the visas and passes.
We are limited on the number of people we can take and cannot take children but relatives and ex-service people are very welcome.
If anyone would like a photograph of a friend or loved one's grave from the cemeteries, please send me details, if possible, of name, rank, cemetery, grave or plot number and I will do my best.
