SIR – Last November I purchased a Michael Bublé ticket on eBay.
The ticket was seized by Milton Keynes trading standards informing me that the seller had purchased his tickets illegally and that it was against trading laws to resell a concert ticket anyway, especially with a mark-up price of more than face value.
I lost £200 on the eBay sale.
Last Thursday I was told Michael Bublé tickets were on sale for Birmingham in March 2014, so I called the NIA box office which informed me it was a fanonly presale day but if called the following day I could buy tickets.
I decided to look on eBay for tickets and found eBay selling tickets on their own resale outlet called ticket stub.
I phoned and was told I could buy tickets at the back of arena for £175 per ticket or three tickets tickets at the front at £800 each.
I would like to ask how did ticket stub buy so many tickets legally and why are they allowed to put a markup from £75 face value and resell at £800.
On the day of the sale (Friday), I was told at 9.10am that both concerts were sold out.
