SIR – As a regular user of Worcester Woods Country Park, I am becoming increasingly concerned at the lack of available parking spaces for users of the facilities there.

While I can understand parking being very limited during weekends, bank holidays and school holidays, I cannot understand why I am unable to park my vehicle on site during the normal working week.

I suspect this is due to the misuse of the car park by people attending appointments at the Worcestershire Royal Hospital, employees and visitors associated with Worcestershire County Council, County Hall and visitors and employees of the various companies who have their offices in the immediate location of the park.

While warning signs exist at the location, very few people seem to take note of them.

I believe it is now time that a system was put in place to ensure that the parking is used by bona fide people using the facilities at the park, or other persons authorised to park on the site.

After all, the park exists as a public amenity and the current situation with lack of parking prevents people such as myself and my family using and enjoying that amenity.
