SIR – I now know how Enoch Powell felt when his party ignored his repeated warnings on the dangers of mass immigration.
Every time I read of more houses being planned for Worcester, I visualise a further two cars for each dwelling.
Now I read in Tom Edwards’ report ‘Super village on edge of city’ (Worcester News, September 3) that Hallam Land Management have submitted a planning application for 800 homes, a health centre, 26,000sq m employment zone, a shopping centre and sports area on the Oldbury Farm site, near to Dines Green.
The Government insists these houses should be built, but when will they realise that our city just cannot accept much more building unless a suitable road system is constructed to cope?
