SIR – I couldn’t help but chuckle at Councillor Adrian Gregson’s letter ‘High-level working party is needed’ (Worcester News, August 30) to solve Worcester’s chronic traffic congestion.
While agreeing with his view that “at the moment, Worcester’s transport problems are blighting the city and its ambition”, we don’t need a working party to find a solution.
A significant part of the answer is surely to be found in Phil Pegler’s letter ‘What this city needs is a proper ring road’ (Worcester News, August 30) – complete the northern link road and remove thousands of vehicles a day from the city centre.
