SIR – I read ‘Welcome to your parish of Trotshill’ (Worcester News, August 17) and quickly got very angry.
Whatever next, I thought, after checking the date on the paper to make sure it wasn’t an April Fools’ joke.
Could a gated wall be erected surrounding Warndon Villages with passes being allocated allowing temporary access to delivery drivers and the like?
Is there potential for all residents of Warndon Villages to be vetted by a specially selected committee – perhaps headed by Councillor [Andy] Roberts?
The properties of those unfortunate enough not to get approved could be compulsorily purchased by the council and sold on to more suitable families.
Or, should councillors Roberts and [Alan] Amos, admit that people – including the staff at the hub – make mistakes, and move on.
Coun Roberts would do well to concentrate on the important things in life – such as ensuring that the county has more jobs and prosperity to offer so that we can all enjoy a good standard of living.
I have been proud to live in Warndon Villages for the past 10 years.
Cheap attempts at headline grabbing make me angry. All our councillors – parish, city and county – should be trying to reduce divisions within Worcester, not further accentuate them.
