SIR – I would like to ask why the people who are not married, have children and don’t work get priority for housing over people who work and are married with children.
My grandson has just finished in the Army.
He has been to Afghanistan on a tour of duty but now has to wait for a council house.
He and a lot of his fellow serving soldiers are married and have children yet they have got to wait to be housed.
I think everyone who serves their country should have priority.
These single mums and layabouts who get these houses should be at the bottom of the list.
On another note, I would like to say I love the new-look Worcester News.
