SIR – I have once again read one of those comical writeups from one of your food critics, this time by Tom Edwards after he visited Galleria Italiana in Worcester (Worcester News, April 19).
I cannot contain myself any more after reading the write-up and then seeing the ‘how it rated’ scores.
Mr Edwards said his wife really enjoyed her pasta saying it’s “the best she’s ever had”.
Mr Edwards then wrote: “The food is high quality and the service, which was personable and prompt on our visit, could not be faulted.”
So how, then, did he arrive at scores of 4, 4, 4, 3? These scores surely suggest the pasta wasn’t that good and the service actually wasn’t perfect... or did he mean to write 5, 5, 5, 5?
Each and every week we have this contradiction in reports and scores.
Galleria Italiana is one of the best eateries in the city and if the visit of Mr Edwards was as good as his review portrayed, then let the scores reflect this.
