SIR – The other week I decided to show off Worcester to my visitors.
They are from Southampton where there is a large university.
I showed them the Hive and they were really impressed.
Having parked on Croft Road car park, we decided to travel up Castle Street where we were held up at the pedestrian crossing.
Then we moved onto the mini roundabout a few yards away where traffic was coming from the car park.
Again we were held up.
They found it hard to understand how a main arterial road could be held up by this problem.
So regretfully, my showing off of our city didn’t get the hoped for approval.
