SIR – What does Robin Walker do for us?
Quite a lot – I have been very impressed. He came in person to support a local school during a visit from government officials when we were trying to get help for building work, even taking photos which I believe he may have used to support our case to ministers.
On a personal level he has always responded quickly and with care and consideration to my concerns regarding local hospital issues, and on benefit changes affecting disabled people.
He replies to e-mails and letters promptly, and kept me informed of developments on occasions when he has been waiting for a response from other ministers, officials, organisations or departments.
Last time I met him he had to apologise for leaving so soon as he was off to spend time at a local special school.
A constituency MP should be hands on, and aware of the concerns of local people. I reckon he is.
