SIR – I totally agree with Tony Willmore’s observations on taxi drivers leaving their engines running while stationary (Worcester News, March 19), but buses in the CrownGate bus station are a bigger health hazard.I was interested to see that West Lothian, East Lothian, Falkirk and Mid Lothian councils have been having talks on this subject for five years, but I cannot find any mention of a statutary law on this.I wonder why?
Mr Willmore asks why environmental health do not get involved but like other departments, no doubt, they have had cuts.
Surely Health and Safety should be interested or are they, too, so under-staffed?
