SIR – This photograph, above, is of Grimley football team, who were winners of Division Three of the Worcester League in the 1938/39 season.
Pictured are: back row, from left, Mr Groves, T Genever, B Pitt, J Bishop, J Pugh, unknown, H Instant, Mr Pugh, unknown. Front row, from left, Arthur Rollins, B Fletcher, E Freeman, Jukes and A Minett.
This was Arthur’s last game as he was sent to war, serving for six years.
He served in several countries before finishing up as a Chindit in Burma behind enemy lines. He was 96 in February.
