SIR – Re the letter ‘Cyclists are a bigger problem than A-boards’ (Worcester News, March 14).
Both cycling and leaving A-boards on the pavement are illegal, but I can see why people do it.
As for which one is more dangerous,I’m not sure.I couldn’t find any figures for deaths or serious injuries on the pavement for either.
I did find a frightening amount for cars though.
What I think is needed is a little more tolerance.IfI come across an A-board that I can’t get around, then Ijust move it.
As for cyclists on the pavement,Ifind almost all give way.
The lack of bobbies on the beat sorting out these problems is a bit of a worry, though, so just for a matter of efficiency I suggest that the police concentrate on the A-boards.If only because they rarely lie about their name and address and are so much easier to chase down.
