SIR – The Government has talked about putting a minimum price on alcohol in an effort to reduce alcoholism.
But will it have the desired effect?
Despite everlasting increases on tobacco tax, the addicts are still not deterred.
The result of a new law would be a penalty on sensible drinkers, a hardship to the trade and alcoholics having less money to spend on the essentials of life for themselves and their families.
